Day 7 - Lingy Hut to Penrith

1hr 50mins ride time 28.1km 15.3kph av 143vm

Another early start followed by a slow descent down Graingills Beck to the junction with the Cumbrian Way. I either followed this offroad route to complete my trip though the Skiddaw range or drop down the road to Mosedale and ride to Penrith to catch the train. I really didn’t want to finish early but I also didn’t want to do battle with the hub, I’d had to do quite a bit of pushing on rideable sections due to the rear hub not working properly. Just before the junction the hub failed again. It wouldn’t engage at all for about five minutes. Off to Penrith it was.
